Laura Stewart

Laura Stewart has worked in the industry for over 20 years. Her studio Born Designers, which she co-owns with her cabinet-maker husband,  focuses on a core commitment to enhancing residential living spaces and creating inspiring commercial interiors within the hospitality and retail sectors.  

Laura and her team prioritise client collaboration, fostering strong relationships with architects and contractors alike. They specialise in high end residential work and commercial ventures as well as consulting for other design practices on ad-hoc projects.

After initially training in Interior Architecture and Design in Nottingham, Laura  worked for various luxury hotel brands throughout Europe and America, before setting up Born Designers 15 years ago. With roots now firmly set in Brighton, Laura spends her time designing incredible spaces for people to sleep, shop, dine and relax.

Laura has been a visiting lecturer on the Interior Design MA at The Royal College of Art as well as previously teaching on the BA Interior Design courses at Kingston & Middlesex Universities.
