Laura Stewart

Laura Stewart has worked in the industry for over 20 years. Her studio Born Designers, which she co-owns with her furniture-maker husband,  focuses on a core commitment to enhance the lived experience through thoughtful, insightful design. 

Laura and her team prioritise client collaboration and foster strong relationships with architects and contractors alike. Their studio specialises in both high end residential work and bespoke commercial projects and they also offer valuable consulting services for other design practices. 

After initially training in Interior Architecture and Design in Nottingham, Laura worked for a number of prestigious agencies designing bars and restaurants, luxury hotel guest rooms and spas in the hospitality sector in Europe and America before setting up Born Designers. Now based on the South coast in Brighton, Laura brings this experience of high-end hospitality design to the residential market, helping clients realise the potential in their homes and create environments that transform the customer experience for businesses.

Laura has been a regular visiting lecturer on the Interior Design MA at The Royal College of Art and previously held teaching posts on the BA Interior Design courses at Kingston & Middlesex Universities.
