The Theatre Royal Drury Lane, owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s company LW Theatres, has been an iconic London landmark since its inception in 1663. The theatre underwent a £60 Million refurbishment to breathe new life into this historical venue and restore some of its original features while ensuring it meets the standards expected of modern theatres.
We manufactured over 200 pieces of loose furniture and bespoke joinery to complement the building’s original and glorious features seamlessly.
Working alongside Alexander Waterworth's design we manufactured over 200 pieces of loose furniture and bespoke joinery to compliment the building’s original and glorious features seamlessly.
The range of sofas, armchairs, bar stools, and small tables used in the refurbishment have been carefully chosen to complement the elegant Georgian style of the theatre, whilst adding a touch of modern flair.
Using antique-styled materials and colours, the furniture has been designed to match the ornate theatre, incorporating lots of gold, dark brown oaks, and earthly-toned colours.
Elegant floral patterns have also been used to uplift the persona of the theatre, ensuring that it retains its old glory while being revived with a new contemporary feel.
We believe that the combination of classic design and modern comfort will make the Theatre Royal an even more inviting and memorable destination for audiences. We have created a space that is both welcoming and luxurious, perfect for theatre lovers who are looking for a comfortable and stylish experience.
