Sector: Hotel, Leisure
Featured product: Velentre Herringbone and Extra Wide Plank
Restaurant RenMor, located in the historic Headland Hotel in Cornwall, underwent a £3 million renovation led by DO Design Studio. The project aimed to create a versatile, welcoming space that honours the hotel's legacy while accommodating high traffic. Woodworks by Ted Todd collaborated with the design team, supplying bespoke wooden flooring from their Aged collection, specifically Velentre Herringbone and Extra Wide Plank, which provided durability and a timeless aesthetic.
The flooring selection process emphasised sustainability and historical resonance, aligning with the hotel's commitment to environmental responsibility and luxury. The Velentre floor's characterful texture and robust finish, upgraded to Oilwood Traffic for enhanced durability, ensured it could withstand the restaurant's heavy footfall while maintaining its beauty.
The renovation resulted in a rich, warm bar-restaurant space with diverse seating areas and acoustic solutions to enhance the atmosphere. The use of natural materials and thoughtful design details mirrored the coastal landscape, creating a luxurious yet accessible dining experience. The project successfully blended historical charm with modern functionality, reinforcing the Headland Hotel's reputation for excellence.
