In 2020, the iconic Regent’s Crescent in London underwent a significant restoration project led by PDP London Architects, transforming it into a high-specification residential development. This Grade I listed building, originally designed by John Nash, had its heritage façade meticulously reconstructed using traditional techniques to revive features lost during WWII. Inside, Millier Interior Design infused Regency grandeur with modern elegance, specifying bespoke 2ply engineered European Oak flooring from Woodworks by Ted Todd to complement the luxurious, neutral palette of the interiors.
Ted Todd’s Woodworks team supplied FSC-certified oak floors in both plank and herringbone designs, providing warmth and texture to the living areas and dressing rooms. The select grade medium tone flooring was chosen for its clean, crisp look, enhancing the sophisticated atmosphere desired for the high-end residential market. The careful blend of historic architectural elements with contemporary design underscores the project's commitment to preserving historical integrity while offering modern luxury.
The result is a seamless integration of old and new, maintaining the building’s historical significance while adapting it for contemporary use. The project at Regent’s Crescent stands as a testament to thoughtful design and craftsmanship, successfully capturing the essence of Regency architecture and modern living. This prestigious development not only preserves architectural heritage but also offers an exquisite living experience, celebrated by its meticulous attention to detail and high-quality finishes.
