Would you like to raise your profile in the Industry?
The BIID is looking for members to participate in panels at tradeshows and feature in articles about the interior design industry.
The BIID regularly put members forward for PR and speaking opportunities. Over the years we have built excellent relationships with trade shows including Decorex, Focus, and Clerkenwell Design Week to name a few. Consumer and trade publications often approach the BIID for designers to include in articles.
We would like to be able to provide a diverse and inclusive selection of designers to the media and our event partners. To do this we need to build a speaker/spokesperson portfolio about members, their experience and expertise. We are keen to hear from all Members and would particularly welcome designers from diverse backgrounds, these include but not limited to, people of colour, people with disabilities and people from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
Most opportunities that arise will be for a BIID Registered Interior Designer®, as that means that a designer has met our rigorous registration assessment. However, there are occassional opportunities for Associates, Provisional Associates and Students so we would like to hear from all our members'.
If you would like to be considered for these opportunities, please get in touch and tell us more about yourself. Please include:
- A short bio including your name, practice name and experience.
- A head shot.
- Special Interests i.e. art, antiques, sustainability, designing for disability, office design, yacht design etc. Many of our panels will include a specialist area such as 'How to approach art in interior design". This information will help us find the right fit for opportunities and it's important to keep this up to date so you aren't overlooked
- Address - This will help us identify regional members who are often disadvantaged for talks in London and help identify speakers for regional events.
If you have previously let us know if your interest, please feel free to reconfirm and send us updated information including any new areas of interest or headshots.
Please send all relevant information to info@biid.org.uk
