Living Room Project, South Yorkshire

This living room area above a garage in South Yorkshire underwent a transformation from a relatively blank canvas to a beautiful room incorporating the owner's individual taste and styles.

We were asked to assist in choosing a blend of our tiles to fit with the decor as a gable end feature wall. We looked at our blends 5 and 6 from the reclaimed collection, and having received samples the customer decided that blend 5 was the ideal fit for the space. As they wanted something unique, we discussed the mortar colour and profiling. To make the brick tiles stand out the customer used a raked profile, set back, and used a black mortar dye to highlight the colours on the bricks themselves.

In tiling around the window, we supplied corner tiles to use keeping the look of genuine exposed brick- and a 'soldier course' above the frame to do the same but also create a feature.
