The Giles Miller Studio in Kent invites nature to grow up the outside of this house whilst also being visible from within it. The Giles Miller Studio believes in enriching people’s experience of space through an artistic and interventionist approach to architectural design.
The UK based studio continues to explore the relationship between materials and light. This project was led by Giles and his studio and they included ercol alongside some of the world’s most conscientious suppliers. They wanted to style the house with a unique and neoteric aesthetic along with timelessness and sustainability.
The studio turned to ercol, inspired by the pure elemental beauty of wood, and guided by a minimal aesthetic. Ercol provided furniture, designed by Lucian Ercolani, to balance a timeless design aesthetic with the emotional comfort and nostalgia of beautifully crafted natural materials. Within the home, Giles Miller placed our Studio couch, stacking chair along with the Corso dining table, Verso bench, and solid ash bar stools.
