Located in the picturesque countryside of Buckinghamshire, this converted barn is full of character and charm. The exterior is clad in timber, which has weathered with time to blend with the landscape. Inside, exposed timber beams adorn the ceilings and walls, telling the story of the building's history.
The kitchen materials draw inspiration from the rural environment and meadows found near the barn, along with our client’s unique style and preference for the eclectic. The outcome is an intriguing bricolage of curated design details, resulting in a truly personal kitchen design with as much character as the barn itself. Located in front of a window with views of the idyllic landscape, the traditional farmhouse sink and bronze Perrin & Rowe taps add to the humble charm of the kitchen. The rustic timber cabinetry is created from reclaimed cladding from buildings in Scandinavia. The timber is reworked, shaped and treated to produce a contemporary door design with a rich history. Blue lacquer cabinetry and aged bronze cup handles add a hint of colour and lift the earthy material palette.
