Our onsite design team were tasked to create an eye-catching bespoke chandelier that would be situated in the bathroom. The design had a few requirements, it needed to include opal tubes that were completely detachable for cleaning.
After our team had received the brief and further conversations with the client, Director and designer Simon began the first sketches of the design.

From this, Richard transferred them into solidworks and produced a 3D model of the light design, this gave the client a better understanding of how the final chandelier may look. Also the 3D model gave the designers the ability to work through any logistical challenges they may have along the way, before the construction had begun.

The difficult task  for the design team was how to illuminate the 64 individual, detachable opal tubes? The solution the design team devised, was to make a ring shaped tray, this is where the opal tubes would sit and then LED strips would line the inside of the tray, lighting the contents inside it.
